Professional Bio: 

Dr. Brandon Brown, is an Epidemiologist and Assistant Professor at the UC Riverside School of Medicine in the Center for Healthy Communities. He earned his bachelor's degree in applied mathematics from the University of California, Irvine, followed by a M.P.H. in epidemiology from UCLA. He then attended the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health to earn his Ph.D. in international health. He has been working in the arena of HIV prevention for over ten years, with the majority of his research in Latin America, Nigeria, and Mexico with long-term partners. Dr. Brown’s experience working in studies focused on HIV and HPV epidemiology, HPV vaccination, HIV prevention, HIV stigma reduction, and research ethics. He is now expanding his work to domestic HIV prevention, studies of HIV and aging in the Coachella Valley, developing a needle exchange program in Riverside, and a clinical study of a prophylactic vaccine as cancer therapy.

My areas of expertise are HIV prevention, vaccine promotion in adolescents and children, and research ethics.
