Professional Bio: 

Anneeth Kaur Hundle is an Assistant Professor of Anthropology at the University of California, Merced. Her work focuses on the anthropology of citizenship and insecurity in Uganda, Asian-African relations and community-building, race, gender and sexuality and the politics and processes of decolonization. She is also interested in diversity and the decolonization of higher education in the American academy and in the Global South.

Area of Expertise: 

I am an expert on Asian-Africa relations in East Africa, questions of colonialism, decolonization, governance, citizenship, and race, ethnic, class and gender inequality in African societies. My second arena of expertise is on Sikhs in the diaspora, Sikh Studies, and South Asian American/Black studies. Finally, I am interested in higher education in the Global South, the decolonization of the university, and diversity in the American academy.
